Lenses

Can you swop lenses in all types of frames?

We can swop lenses in basically all frames except sport frames with curved lenses. If your frames are very old or worn, however, problems may arise. If we judge that the frame is fragile, we will inform you of the risk before we swop the lenses, so that you can decide whether we should try or not.

What types of lenses do you offer?

We offer most types of lenses such as single-vision, progressives, computer lenses or non-prescription lenses. You can choose whether you want clear lenses, sun lenses (with or without polarization) or light-responsive lenses. If you can't find the right option for you when ordering, contact us and we'll do our best to solve it! Read more about our lenses here.

Where do you make the lenses?

Our lenses are made at our Swedish lab. It is a premium supplier with extensive experience.

Do the lenses come with a warranty?

We guarantee that the powers are correct according to the prescription and specifications you provide us. Should there be any inaccuracies in the lenses, we will refund you or make new lenses. In addition, a 12-month warranty on lens and coatings.

Do you offer tinted lenses?

At the moment we don't, but we might be able to find a tailored solution. Email us at hello@swopti.co and we can take it from there.

Do you offer prism lenses?

We do, up to 5 prism diopters per eye is usually not a problem. It should also be stated on the prescription document how it should be distributed between right and left. Please email us your prescription at hello@swopti.co and we will take it from there.

Prices

What does your pricing look like?

Our prices are fixed which means you don't pay more if your powers are high. We also include scratch-resistant, anti-reflective and dirt-repellent lens coatings as well as shipping without extra charge.

Single-vision lenses: SEK 1499
Progressive lenses: SEK 3499
Non-prescription lenses: SEK 799

Additional coatings:

Sun lenses: SEK 500
Light-responsive: SEK 1,000
Blue light filtering: SEK 500
Polarization for sun lenses: SEK 500

How can you be so cheap compared to traditional opticians?

We have worked in the optical industry for a long time and know that lenses are often sold with extremely high margins. The cost of the lens material, manufacturing the lens and fitting it into the frame is not as expensive as the traditional opticians would have you believe. By operating our business online, without expensive retail locations, warehouses or extensive marketing costs, we can offer the same high quality lenses at significantly lower prices.

Do you have to pay more for thin lenses?

Our prices are always fixed, regardless of yoour prescription. This means that we make your lenses as thin as possible, without charging extra for it.

Prescription

Do I need a new prescription document to make an order?

There is no requirement as to how new your prescription document should be, but we usually recommend that it should not be older than 1 year. But as long as you're happy with your current prescription, we're happy.

How do I provide you with my prescription document?

When you click on ‘Order now’, you first choose the type of lenses you want and optional extra coatings. In the last step, you can choose to upload your prescription document as a JPG, PDF file or if you are on your phone, you have the option to take a picture of the prescription. You can also enter your powers manually or send the prescription doc to us by email.

Miscellaneous

What happens if my frames are lost during shipping or broken when swopping lenses?

If the frame is lost during delivery or if we happen to break the frame when swopping lenses (which is extremely rare), we will replace it as follows:

Used frame: We reimburse 50% of the purchase price of the frame up to a maximum of SEK 1000 (lenses is not included and a receipt must be presented). We also refund the cost of lenses ordered at swopti.co.

New frame: We refund 100% of the purchase price up to a maximum of SEK 2000 (lenses are not included and a receipt must be presented, which must be no more than 6 months old). We also reimburse the cost of lenses ordered ot swopti.co.

If a receipt cannot be presented, a reimbursement of SEK 500 will be made.

What is your return policy?

As the lenses are specially ordered for you and your frames, we are unfortunately unable to accept returns. However, we guarantee that the lenses are correctly made according to your prescription and specifications you give us. If there are any inaccuracies in the powers of the lenses, we will refund you or offer to re-make the lenses.

How do I ship my frames to you?

When you have placed your order, we will send you a package with everything you need to easily pack and send your glasses to us. More info here.
